Until now, all have been of the unweighted 25-, 37-, and 61-key variety, but now Arturia jumps into the big leagues with the “kitchen sink edition,” the 88-key, fully weighted KeyLab 88. I wish they would do a great piano library in the future that has the depth us pianist need.Arturia has released a steady stream of classy USB/MIDI controller keyboard/virtual instrument packages over the past few years. It's a shame cause I think the Model D sounds good.

For piano we are granted with much better options in this day and age. Thanks for the heads up Clockwise! I might get Sparkverb or something else. Use the voucher for something else like Sparkverb, Relayer or stuff that you wouldn't normally spend money on. Don't consider getting them unless they are free. To add, I find the Fazioli in the piano collection useful in certain contexts, but this only has 8 velocity layers and lacks expression (especially pianissimo) as well. The samples sound good, but the velocity switch is so obvious and lacks expression due to such limited number of layers. It only has 5 velocity layers and some keys share the same sample as the next key. I'm happy that I got it for free, but wouldn't think a second to spend money on it, knowing the specification of the instrument. I got the UVI Steinway D for free when I purchased an Audiothing plugin on KVR. So fr I like the UVI Model D demos.ĭo you know how many velocity layers it is? The White is 16 pedal up and 16 pedal down. I LOVE Sampletekk's White Grand which I use for my solo piano CDs. I have Falcon, Vintage Vault, Attack EP-88, Synth Anthology II, Retro Organ Suite, so now trying out to see what I can buy with my voucher! LOL! I have a $70 voucher from UVI from all the stuff I bought last year. Which piano is your favorite? I'm listening to the last demo of the Model D. The Yamaha was not the one AcousticSamples made and it's not as nice, but still very usable.Īt the regular price I probably wouldn't go for it, but for the $75 I paid it's a great find. Don't like the sound of it and uncle duncan pointed out it seems to be out of tune. The one I didn't like was the baby grand.

When I put them through UAD Ocean Way -> API 560 -> Studer I could see how they would fit very nicely in a rock/pop setting.

These aren't very polished and "nice" which I like about them. Still haven't done a lot with them but I have to say that I'm really happy with what I got for the money. I ended up buying these but didn't get around to trying them out until tonight.
